Knoppix is one of the oldest and most widely-recognized Linux operating systems in the world. While maintaining the highly stable and reliable base it has always been known for, this newest evolution of Knoppix offers increased bootability by adopting the Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment (LXDE). An energy-saving, fast-performing desktop interface, LXDE works well with new generation netbooks and older PCs alike. Fast boot times and low minimum requirements combined with a solid collection of top-rated applications make this Knoppix an ideal distro for PC hopping. With built-in options for innovative speech synthesis programs and visually stunning desktop graphics, Knoppix delivers a highly interactive all-access pass to Linux computing.
